Ghatail Cantonment Public School and College is situated in a scenic and eye-catching green mountaneous environment of Tangail District. With the motto ‘GROW IN THE ESTEEM OF FUTURE’, it ensures quality teaching, well management, flourishment of leadership qualities, balanced and liberal educational system and all kinds of politics and violence free environment. Now 3200 plus students are enrolled in both school and college section. The students are nurtured and moulded in a well planned campus comprising modern academic and administrative buildings, very well equipped laboratories, enriched library, good looking guardian shed, large bus parking of six buses, innovated canteen, college hostel, children park, the shaheed minar and spacious play ground.

GCPSC has a tradition of extraordinary academic result. Its academic activities are conducted through lesson plans in a well planned academic calendar. Classes are run with multimedia projectors. Monthly exams are held besides term end exams to ensure progressive academic advancement. Students appearing for public exam are taken extra care of with special classes and model tests to ensure better preparation. Results are prepared digitally in automation system and guardians are regularly informed of the details of their children including their daily attendance through automated SMS service.

To bring out the latent qualities of the learners, GCPSC highly emphasizes on co-curricular activities. It has 08 different categories of clubs through which experienced teachers guide them in achieving expertise in Music, Dance, Recitation, Drawing, English Language, Debating, General Knowledge, Math & Science Olympiad,  Games and Sports, Scouting, Girls’ Guide, BNCC etc. Moreover, all national days are observed here with great enthusiasm and solemnity. The learners learn here the basic knowledge, develop character traits and leadership qualities indispensible for becoming future leader and modern citizen with liberal outlook & enlightened vision.

GCPSC also publishes a very well standard annual Magazine through which the teachers and the students get opportunities to expose their dormant qualities in writing rhymes, poems, short stories, articles, essays and research paper etc. In addition, regular arrangement of science fair encourages and mobilizes tender minds to innovate, invent and express their potential.

Under the regular monitoring of the governing body and hard work of teacher, staff and employee the institution acquired the recognition of the best institution in Dhaka Board in 2008, 19th & 20th position in the top 20 merit list on the basis of HSC examination result in 2010 & 2011 respectively. It secured 14th position for JSC examination result in 2012 & 11th for SSC examination result in 2013. In 2016, it has been awarded with the laurel of the best educational institution in Dhaka Division. In 2018, the School section of the institution has been ranked 2nd Runner Up among 27 Cantonment Public Schools and awarded with Chief of Army Staff Trophy. It became the Best Institution, the Best Principal, the Best Class Teacher, the Best Student, the Best Girls Guide, the Best Rover Scout and 1st position in other 21 categories at upazilla level in ‘National Education Week-2019’. On the basis of result it also achieved certificate as the ‘Best College’ in Tangail district and won Gold Medal in 48th Bangladesh Inter School & Madrasha Sports (Swimming) Competition -2019.

For COVID-19 pandemic, the usual class activities of our institution has been stopped for a long time. In the midst of this existing situation, we are taking the classes on ZOOM APPS considering the betterment of the students. We are trying our best to communicate virtually with the teachers, officers, employees and guardians to keep pace with mental health. Above all, our institution is running on following the rules and directions of WHO as well as our government.
